Payroll

Monthly payroll for people employed in Latvia.

Calculation: gross to net, social contributions and income tax, with every allowance applied correctly.
Deadlines: the employer’s report filed by the 17th, taxes paid by the 23rd.
Employees: registered with the tax authority before they start, and deregistered when they leave.
Payslips: in Latvian or English. You can also work out net pay from gross yourself.

Working together: how pricing works

To keep things fair on both sides, pricing works on these ground rules:

"Starting from" principle and volume changes. All listed prices are base rates. If your volume (documents, employees, e-commerce transactions) exceeds the plan's base, the monthly fee is reviewed by individual agreement.
Out-of-plan work (hourly rate). Consulting outside "Fractional CFO", cleaning up prior-period accounting, representing you in an SRS audit, or complex AI-system engineering is billed hourly: €65–95/h (by specialist level). CFO-level work is €100/h.
Automation & AI (project basis). The "Pro" plan includes strategic AI and automation guidance. Actually building the systems - API integrations or robotic process automation (RPA) - is scoped as a separate project.
Systems & licence costs. Subscriptions for accounting and automation software (e.g. Jumis, Zalktis, Xero, Make, Zapier) are not included in the service price and are billed separately or paid directly by you.

Māris Nelsons, ACCA

finance professional

I've spent over 25 years in finance and I'm a qualified ACCA member. I hold a master's degree in economics from the University of Latvia. Over my career I've worked as a finance director in banks, manufacturing companies, international groups and fintech startups.

SMAIDA is my accounting outsourcing practice in Latvia: full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, tax filings and CFO-level support for small and medium businesses, with AI doing the routine work.
